We are a group of believers which has discovered the beauty of pure and simple Christinanity, based exclusively on the Bible, as it was preached and practiced during the first century.

The Bible is the written Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God to men and His great plan of redemption for humanity. Everything we believe is contained in this book. We don't want to establish other churches, for we are convinced that all Christians should be united in one church without divisions or sectarism, basing their faith solely on the Word of God.

Through the centuries the Word of God was placed aside and forgotten by men who preferred human philosophies and teachings. Because of the desire to follow new ways there arose numerous teachers and charismatic leaders who indoctrinated their followers to move away from the purity of the teachings of Christ and his apostles (Acts 20: 29-30; 1 Timothy 4: 1-5; 2 Timothy 4: 3-4; 2 Peter 2: 1-3; 2 Thessalonians 2). Unfortunately, current "Christianity" has retained only an appearance of that which was preached and practiced in the first century, for it has rejected the substance (2 Timothy 3, 1-5) .

We are convinced that it is not possible TO REFORM a Christianity so tarnished by men, it is necessary TO RESTORE true Christianity by returning to the origins, to the pure source of the Word of God.

The true church of Christ has never had a human founder; it was established by Christ himself 2000 years ago. It does not have an earthly organization or an earthly head. It recognizes Jesus Christ as the only infallible head, since God himself "gave Him to be head over all things to the church" (letter of the apostle Paul to the Ephesians 1:22). "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under haven given among men which we must be saved " (from a speech by the apostle Peter in the book of Acts 4, 12).

We are convinced that faith is necessary to approach God (Hebrews 11: 6), but this faith can enter the hearts of men by hearing the Word of Christ (letter of Paul to the Christians in Rome 10: 17) . We are motived by Biblical principles, so our intent is not to attract people for the sake of numbers. However, we feel with urgency the necessity to share our faith in the only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are committed with all of our resources and energy to spread the message of love, hope and salvation contained in the Bible. This is not a mission to disturb people in their homes, but to provide information such as correspondence, e-mail, and individual group dialogue for those who are interested in the Word of God.

In identifying ourselves as "church of Christ" we did not want to create a new denomination to add to the many others already in existence. Instead, we sought to use one of the biblical names which identified the church of the first century, as demonstrated by the fellowing passage from the letter of Paul to Romans: "The churches of Christ greet you" (Romans 16: 16). In addition to " churh of Christ", the early church was also called "church of God ", "church of the firstborn ", "the Way", etc. or simply "church " followed by the name of a city, referring to a local congregation. The name of Christ following the word "church " is in agreement with the words of Jesus, who said: " . . . I will build My Church" (Matthew 16: 18). Given that the possessive adjective "My " refers to Christ, we believe it is reasonable to call the church that Jesus himself established and for which he gave his life, " Church of Christ".

Congregations that inspire to the same principles of the restoration of Christianity are located in many cities throughout Italy and the world. Each of these congregations carries out its local activity autonomously, not depending on any central authority other than Word of Jesus.
